Bears and the Beanstalk is the 2nd episode of We Baby Bears.
Synopsis[]
The Baby Bears work as short-order cooks in a giant's diner.
Plot[]
Baby Grizz, Baby Panda, and Baby Ice Bear are transported to a fairy tale land, full of fantastical beings. After looking around for a few moments, Baby Panda decides to look for a home from listings on his phone. He scrolls through a few ads until finding an app that advertises magic beans that will find a new home for the user. Baby Panda downloads the app and taps the button for the beans, and the Baby Bears wait for the beanstalk. It takes a while until suddenly, the giant green beanstalk shoots up from the ground, taking the Baby Bears with it up into the sky. They pop up in the middle of a giant kitchen counter with equally giant food.
The Baby Bears are excited to live there when the ground suddenly starts shaking and a figure comes into the kitchen. The Baby Bears try running around in an attempt to escape, but the giant picks up Baby Grizz and brings him closer to his face, revealing that the giant looks very friendly. He tells them to calm down and asks what they are, to which Baby Grizz responds with "We're bears! And not the gummy kind!" The Baby Bears and the giant exchange some explaining of sizes, as well as the giant reassuring that he isn't going to eat them. He instead shows them a beautiful looking omelette that he made himself and tells them that they are currently in his diner, Craig's Eggs. Craig tries to guess the Baby Bears' names and nicknames them all Rhonda. The Baby Bears properly introduce themselves and explain that they arrived there on the beanstalk. They apologize for crashing into his kitchen and offer to stay and help Craig cook, demonstrating by making a glass of orange juice. Craig accepts their offer and lets them stay for as long as they would like, then turns and says a little quieter "As long as it's forever". The Baby Bears either don't hear this or don't think anything of it, and the deal is made.
The Baby Bears ask for a tour and Craig lets them hop onto his hand and shows them around, showing the kitchen, fridge, customers, the bathroom (where he says "all the magic happens"), and finally, the goose that lays the golden eggs he cooks with. He says that he "owes a lot to this goose" and then turns in a similar matter to previously and says "that I got fair and square!" The Baby Bears, again, don't think anything of it and agree happily.
Baby Grizz, Baby Panda, and Baby Ice Bear take the orders of the customers and assign jobs for each other, getting the meal made quickly and skillfully. After a days hard work, Craig tells them he's going to close the diner and allows the Baby Bears to use whatever food they'd like for themselves. The Baby Bears suggest ideas for what they should make, with Baby Grizz wanting giant ramen, Panda wanting giant pizza bagels, and Baby Ice Bear wanting to eat an egg whole. The last idea inspires them all to make an omelette for themselves. They make their way to the goose to pick up some eggs, but she tells them that Craig has some secrets. The Baby Bears are skeptical at first, so Goose tells them the real story of how Craig obtained her: kidnapping. The Baby Bears are distraught and want to help out Goose, so they form a plan.
Baby Ice Bear unlocks Goose's cage while Baby Grizz and Panda start opening the nearby window. Goose helps open the window all the way and positions herself for flight just as Craig comes back into the kitchen. He tries to grab Goose, but she dodges his grasp and flies off into the distance. Seeing the escape angers Craig greatly, causing him to transform into his angered state, where his beard turns red and spiky and his egg hat cracks and drips down his head. The Baby Bears are happy for Goose, but now they have to run away from the firey Craig. After a decent-length chase, the Baby Bears are able to lock themselves in the bathroom, halting Craig for some time. The Baby Bears try to think of a proper escape, but the windows are too high and there aren't any other doors. Baby Grizz realizes that they are standing on the tank of the toilet and forms an idea. Baby Panda picks up on this and objects, but it is at this time that Craig breaks down the door and Baby Panda knows they have no other way. The Baby Bears into the water and Baby Ice Bear hits the flushing handle right before they all start swirling down. Craig watches them and laughs, reminding them that they are still in the sky and the toilet is going to drain right into the forest below. The Baby Bears scream as they go down and are shot out from the clouds. As they are falling from the sky, Goose comes back to save them. The Baby Bears thank her and she tells them that she owed them one. When she lands on the ground back beside the Baby Bears' box, she gives them a golden egg as a thank-you. The Baby Bears say their goodbyes and start heading back home, unsure of what to do with the egg.
