What are Reptiles?

Reptiles are cold-blooded vertebrates of a class that includes Snakes, Lizards, Crocodiles, Turtles, and Tortoises. They are distinguished by having a dry scaly skin, and typically laying soft-shelled eggs on land. Some species of Reptiles can adapt to a Marine Environment such as Sea Snakes, Sea Turtles, Marine Iguanas, and Saltwater Crocodiles.
