You know, my last comment makes me think: any chance of guest stars making an appearance? Cause we need Samuel Jackson to voice an angry parent or a mayor or president of the world or something.
I literally agree with what was first said. I'm looking forward to how they actually turn out to be, which I tink we have predicted pretty accurately.Â
My guess:
Grizzly: He'll be the fun, outgoing one of the bunch.
Panda: He reminds me of a more reserved and timid version of Rigby in a way.
Ice Bear: Stoic, sarcastic type guy. Even though Grizzly is the leader, I can see Ice Bear acting as a father figure of sorts.
I also think that sometime in the 3rd or 4th season, a new bear will be introduced as a long lost sister. Basically, a tomboyish Sloth Bear or Sun Bear who acts kinda like Marceline from Adventure Time. She'd most likely be the base breaker of the show with one camp thinking she's cool and another camp blaming her for destroying the three brothers dynamic.
Also, I have a prediction for a sad, tearjerker type episode: Grizzly enters some eating contest and eats so much that he has to be hospitalized. When visiting hours are over, Panda sadly remarks that the "stack feels shorter and more empty" and Ice Bear acts as an emotional support for Panda. At some point, they think Grizzly is dead and Panda begins bawling hysterically while Ice Bear sheds a single, manly tear but Grizzly turns out to be okay in the end.
I'm considering making this a fanfic once I get a better feel for the characters.
I have a feeling the show will start with a "New at six" due to it having 6 episodes for this week, 2 on the same day, so, the first episode will probably just be a series premiere and the second episode will be a new at 6, or the other way around, which is, the first episode will be at 6 and the second episode will be after that.
As for the future of the show, this kinda surprises me too, but I kinda hope it's just a comedy because I don't know if I can handle intense drama from steven universe AND We Bare Bears (the feels have pretty much killed me already anyway) and I need a new lighthearted show about cute looking animals *COUGH COUGH flashes back to regular show* that hopefully won't get too serious. Other than that, I'm excited!
I sincerely hope that We Bare Bears is gonna give character development to each of the bears and expand their personalities. Like I know that Panda is definitely going to be Amethyst's emotions but really shy.

There has to be an episode where Ice Bear runs for president. His brothers would all support him and he would gain massive support from voters. Then Nom Nom could get all offended that Ice Bear is more Famous than him and begin to sabotauge the election by finding personal info about Ice Bear and discovering Ice isnt an American citizen (idk why but its head canon for me). Ice gets apprehended by public officials, then escapes using his ninja moves back to San Francisco, and... i dont know how to end it. Someone help.Â
Nom Nom will at some point lose his fame and have to crash with the Bears. He'll fake character development and ditch the bears the moment things go right for him again and the status quo will be restored.Â

Hmmm, that is interesting. Soon there will be 4 bears in the family.
Grizzly: The Grizzly Bear
Panda: The Panda Bear
Ice Bear: The Polar Bear
<insert name here>: The Sloth Bear ( or Sun Bear )

It'd be ironic for Ice Bear to be a fatherly figure considering he's the youngest of the three
Well I mean, that doesn't really prove anything. A case of bi (or in this case) triracial biological siblings has have to have been done in some other cartoons.
However, I'm not saying that they are biological, I'm just saying that if they were all like, gathered together by their mothers and either abandoned or their mothers died, then it either wouldn't be shown in the show or it wouldn't be story enough to actually be entertaining or otherwise

Race has nothing to do with the bears. They belong to three different types of species of bears. In order to be in a species, a pair must be able to reproduce together and their offspring be able to reproduce again. If they cannot reproduce or make fertile young, then they are not of the same species. This is one of the most defining characteristics on how species are separated, aside from genetics. No matter how you put it, a single mother bear (of any of the three species) cannot produce three different species of bears.
But because this is a cartoon, the creators can have liberty in these things. But it's more likely that they were just three bears born from different mothers bound together by kinship so strong, they are practically brothers.
Judge makes a point with it being a cartoon. After all, this show has talking bears and koalas and no one seems to think that's weird. Still, I hold by the theory that the bears aren't blood related.
Rainbowderp01 wrote: Well, the species Is bear. But they can breed with other subspecies...
What? Bear isn't the species, its the common name for the entire taxonomic family Ursidae. You can tell what species it is by the latin/scientific name of any organism. A scientific name (binomial nomenclature) uses the format of : Genus specific_epithet. e.g. Homo sapiens (humans), Homo being the genus and sapiens being the species/specific epithet, we belong in the taxonomic family Hominidae. Different specific epithets denotes different species, for example: Ursus arctos, the brown/grizzly bear is a different species from Ursus maritimus, the polar bear. They belong to the same genus but of different species. Even more so with a panda, Ailuropoda melanoleuca, which belongs to an entirely different genus altogether, but still in the bear family Ursidae.
You also mentioned the subspecies. This is where the trinomial nomenclature is included. As the name suggests it has three names, Genus specific_epithet subspecific_epithet. e.g. Homo sapiens sapiens. Any subspecies can breed with any other so long as they are of the same species. This means two subspecies of Grizzly bears, Ursus arctos arctos and Ursus arctos isabellinus, can breed with one another but not with a bear that is of an entirely different species.
Guys, I have a predicament. Many of the episodes in WBB are written or story boarded by Madeline sharifian. The three most emotional episodes (in my opinion) were Chloe, burrito, and Jean Jacket, and each of those episodes has her heavy involvement. Heck, she story boarded Chloe all by herself apparently. She also story boarded or wrote viral video, pandas date, food truck, everyday bears, and primal. She seems to be the second most involved person, rivaling Daniel Chong himself. But here's the problem: according to her tumblr, she stopped working on bears to work at Pixar after about a year of bears. So my main point: I'm terrified that in the future, when none of the epidodes have Madeline's involvement, the quality of writing in the show will swiftly degrade.
Good observation, actually. Remind me to keep an eye out for her episodes. Still, I wouldn't say the show's screwed just if we lose her. We'll lose some talent, sure, but not a huge blow.
On another note.
We've had, what 10 episodes?
And I haven't heard Ice Bear's name once from someone besides himself. (Even in his own episode! (Imo his own episode))
Also, Ice has never said anyone else's name. Am I the only one that will be excited when either of these happens?
Also, correct me if I'm wrong about the first one
Right? Although Wikia says that Grizz calls him "Ice". Is this in the web comic or something or was I just not listening in one of the earlier episodes?
It was in the episode "Jean Jacket". He never directly called Ice Bear "Ice", but the Decision Machine, which was made by Grizzly, lists Ice Bear as "Ice".

True, but that's written. Otherwise he just calls him "you" or "bro"
True, In terms of Grizz saying Ice Bear's name, then anything written isn't really applicable. But in terms of Grizzly referring to Ice Bear by his name, then anything Grizz has written is still accountable.
Also, predictions on future episodes:
Yard Sale: The bears have a yard sale and accidentally sell something important to one of the bears.
Slumber Party: Chloe returns and has a slumber party with the bears.
Bear Cleanse: I have no clue.
Nom Nom's Entourage: Nom Nom returns, obviously.
Charlie Ball: Charlie's first appearance?
Rooms: No idea.
Ranger Tabes: The bears must cope with a disgruntled park ranger? Maybe the ranger has a past with one of the bears?
Losing Ice: Sad episode about Ice Bear. Just a gut feeling this will be a feels trip.
Cellie: Panda's cellphone breaks and he is devastated by it so Grizz and Ice Bear get him a new phone.
Fashion Bears: The bears start a fashion trend that outshines Nom Nom's fame and it makes Nom Nom angry.
The Island: The bears get trapped on an island?
I think that The Island may be a sort of feels episode, for Ice Bear. Like, the bears go to an island, and Ice Bear thinks it's his island that he lived on in the Arctic when he was younger. So he doesn't want to leave, but his brothers want him back. That's my idea
Filler, just random funny stuff. I can't really see this being a feels-y episode.
Nom Nom's Entourage:
Nom Nom stuff.
Charlie Ball:
Charlie stuff.
Rooms:
More Charlie. He wants to move in with the Bears and they have a problem because they don't have enough space for him to stay. Probably non-canon if Charlie gets to stay.
Ranger Tabes:
Probably the most feels-y episode. A park ranger fears that the bears are dangerous to a nearby park, so the ranger wants them to move.
Losing Ice:
Obviously a feels-y episode. Panda/Grizz have a conflict with Ice, so he runs away.
The Island:
Wild guess, but maybe it's a part two to Losing Ice. Ice has ran away to an island, bears get lost trying to find Ice. This could be season finale material.
I've seen seasons of shows with only 13 episodes, so a (16) episode season isn't completely unreasonable... Is there 16 including these episodes? I'm really not sure
Very true. We Bare Bears could pull off a late-season storyline. Therefore making it a longer season. Because those aforementioned 13 episode seasons didn't really have much of a storyline unless it was a competition show
1: later in about 3-4 seasons, a new bear (Ice Bear hopes for black bear otherwise sun bear) appears and joins the gang.
2: WBB and SU crossover? Ice Bear keeps thinking about it and made a fake storyboard. come on, why not?
3: The Bears are trapped by Nom Nom and try to escape but ultimately fail. Panda whines about dying. However Ice Bear comes up with an insane idea that risks one of the bears dying if done wrong. They escape, but Panda accidently falls back down the trap. Grizz thinks he is dead, but Ice Bear and Grizz make a chain and rescues Panda. They leave as Nom Nom plots another "death plan".

Honestly, I was listening to "I Can't Decide" by Scissor Sisters pretty much all day, and everytime I imagined a scenario to go with the song, it was Nom Nom trying to kill Panda and Grizzly while Ice Bear tried to stop him.
That would be a very interesting and heartwrenching idea, though.

I'm kinda scared for Brother Up, tbh. Though I'm also excited for some more of the Panda / Grizz dynamic. They're really cute. But ya, the "emotional Panda" part of the synopsis makes me wonder if Panda is going to go through stress being the top bear. I wonder if something will happen to Grizzly ((which I feel is likely)).
Earlier I made a comment about how Ice hasn't said anyone's name and no one has said his. That changed in the episode that aired today, where he said Chloe's name 3 times

I'm really curious to see the past of the bears. They can't all brothers by birth so how did they all find each-other and become a family?
Well, originally, i was thinking maybe a zoo, but then I remembered the feels-y episode. Maybe they're all rescues that met at a conservation center? Maybe a few more sad episodes explaining that in more detail, like maybe ice bear was rescued from poachers, and panda maybe a forest fire?

I feel like for Panda, something similar to that would happen, but moreso being the farming of his home? Like, farming for bamboo and such.
I also feel like all of them would have something to do with their moms, ie; Grizzly being left on the tree by his mom before she was shot, Ice Bear being brought to safety by his mom before the ice caps completely melted, and Panda losing his mom in the midst of farming or he was found by one of the people who destroyed his home and taken; again, poachers.
Also, now that Brother Up's been pushed back at the last second and now we have more time to predict, I have several ideas for how the episode could go down.
It's all a play to help Panda cheer up, the wolves being Ice Bear, Charlie/Lucy, and Chloe. ((Unlikely, but hey.))
The Bears get into a hustle with the wolves and Grizzly ends up being kidnapped by them after Panda scared them away, and its up to him to save him.
Basically something bad happens to Grizzly.
Just by the synopsis alone I feel like something bad and emotional is going to happen between Panda and Grizzly. I'm kinda scared it's going to have something to do with emotional tension ((which I can almost guaruntee it might be)). We can't have another Burrito, not this soon at least.

Good theories. Ice Bear will add this to his Theories List.

He/she sounds better in the sentence to me, and ARE YOU KIDDING ME
Why do they keep pushing back shows <.< I remember when Steven Universe was pushed back like another month... What is the reason they have for pushing Brother Up back?

Steven Universe was more likely than not due to the fact they didn't have enough episodes in their finished episode storage to air another new one.
As for We Bare Bears, it isn't the only show. Every show for this Thursday except for The Ridonculous Race and Steven Universe has been temporarily removed from the line-up. This removal was a last second change. ToonZone speculates it could be because they're trying a new line-up // airing schedule // system, mostly because the new Thursday shows' view count has been decreasing each week, which is bad.
Though we're not sure, we're hoping for more episode bombs next month to compensate for the missing new Thursdays line-up.

well, 1st of all WHO THE HECK WOULD POACH A PANDA?!?!?!?
Kyle2kwu wrote: People are cutting bamboo trees just to make shelter since now the population for humans is 7 billion plus..
I don't think it's just that, if it's that at all. Bamboo is a great material not just for building shelter, but also boats and weaponry, and would be high in demand, thus causing the destruction of homes of pandas if they aren't taken in by a zoo, and also destroys the pandas' main food source.
Also, fun fact: Did you know pandas originally were able to eat meat like its bear brethren? In fact, pandas can actually have trouble digesting their bamboo, and they'd need to eat a lot of bamboo daily just to give themselves their needed nutrients, nutrients from which they can get from meat in lesser quantities.
