  • The song Grizz sings to get the two red-tippered larkatoos to couple up is a clear parody of the song "Kiss the Girl" from the Disney film The Little Mermaid.
  • There is also a reference to another Disney film Lady and the Tramp were the two larkatoos are seen recreating the iconic spaghetti moment from the movie.
  • The music in this episode during the party and the title card is a reference to the Earth, Wind, and Fire song Let's Groove.
  • The Brd-dex is an obvious nod to the Pokedex from the Pokemon franchise.
